Actress Madhuri Dixit on World Health Day on Tuesday has urged her fans to stay healthy.

“Greetings on World Health Day! Let's work together to help each other stay healthy!!” Madhuri tweeted.

The dancing queen also shared what helps to maintain her body.

“Acting and dancing keep me busy and focus my mind and body. How do you keep in shape?” the mother of two posted on Twitter.

A few days back the 47-year-old also practiced archery.

“Sharp shooters on your guard. Got some archery practice in this weekend. Like something from a film...,” she tweeted.

Madhuri was last seen on the big screen in 2014 film “Gulaab Gang”.

Madhuri looked splendid in a peach-pink salwar suit and was accompanied by her husband Dr. Sriram Nene while Sridevi looked radiant in an embellished white ensemble. Sridevi was also accompanied by her husband, producer Boney Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor who has shared a great screen presence with both the ladies was also present at the event.

Terence Lewis and India’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit Nene are coming together to support Mumbai’s first ever Contemporary Dance Festival, Jugnee.

A five day non-profit and dance neutral festival will give young emerging and professional dancers a voice and platform to showcase their talent under one roof, in addition to bringing the most renowned international faculty here to its dancers.

Talking about the festival, Terence, said: “The dance community in India and Mumbai works in isolation and are unaware of the opportunities they have for themselves! It was important to unite them for several reasons, and to give young, struggling, emerging artist a great platform."

Talking about Madhuri’s collaboration, he added, “Madhuri is the icon of dance in our country and her name is synonymous with talent grace and beauty! Since its Mumbai's first indo contemporary dance festival, who better then oujr Mumbai girl, who gave dance respect and dignified it with her performances!”

“Madhuri is also working very hard to help people across all age groups to create awareness in dance through her digital app tutorials and much more. Her app (DWM) is one of the first apps in India on dance that has been successfully helping people to dance across the world. People, who may not have the luxury to step outside of their homes or work places, due to time, financial or social constraints.”

Jugnee awaits its launch on the World International Dance Day, 29th April.

Actress Madhuri Dixit, who performed 'lavani' in the song "Humko aajkal hai", says she is looking forward to Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone's dance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani".

"Anything about dance always excites me, so I am very, very excited to see Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone's 'lavani' dance in 'Bajirao Mastani'," Madhuri said here on Thursday during the announcement of Mumbai's first ever Contemporary Dance Festival, Jugnee.

In "Bajirao Mastani", Priyanka and Deepika will perform a 'lavani' dance together. It is touted to be a crucial part of the film's climax.

Madhuri, who is a trained classical dancer and is also credited to have introduced the folk dance in films, has earlier teamed up with actresses like Karisma Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in songs on screen.

Recalling that time, Madhuri, who also has her online dance academy, said: "I had a competition with Karisma in 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. It was wonderful. Shiamak (Davar) was the choreographer for that."

"The dancing was a little more jazz and contemporary and I was doing that style for the first time. I enjoyed when we danced. Karisma and I got along very well, so we had a great time," she added.

Madhuri is all praise for the grandeur with which Bhansali shoots his songs.

Recollecting the days when she shot "Dola re dola" song with Aishwarya for "Devdas", Madhuri said: "When I did 'Dola re dola' with Aishwarya, Saroj Khan-ji had choreographed it and it was terrific. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has picturised it."

"There were many trolly shots and long shots and after a long time a song was being picturised on that level."

At the exclusive launch, Mrs. Nene was seen in full support of the tinselville’s most sought after fitness trainer, Leena. At the book launch, Madhuri paired her LBD with pink pumps and smoky-eyed look.

Leena has a huge Bollywood clientele but Madhuri was her first client. So having Madhuri at the book launch explained a lot!

We watched the trailer of Dil Dhadakne Do recently and we cannot get enough of the great work done by actress Shefali Shah. However, that’s not the only thing about the artist that’s amazing us.

In an era where the leading ladies think twice before paring up with the aged Khans, we rarely see the senior actresses willing to mother the younger crowd instantly. Well, B’town has an age game of sorts!

However, Shefali is one of the few actresses who will never shy away from portraying roles of this nature.

Shefalis role in Dil Dhadakne Do was previously offered to actresses like Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit Nene, both who refused to mother two leading celebrities.

Shefalis willingness to mother Ranveer and Priyanka on screen, has brought her in good light recently. Also, let’s not forget that Shefali has even mothered Akshay Kumar on screen previously, despite being the younger actor.

The 47-year-old took to micro-blogging website Twitter to announce the launch of her“ "Dance with Madhuri app".

It was a nostalgic moment for Madhuri Dixit and Govinda who caught up with each other on the sets of dance reality show, ‘DID Super Moms’.

The actors re-lived their old days as they danced to one of their popular songs ‘Makhna’ from ‘Bade Miyaan Chhote Miyaan’. And one can’t get enough of Madhuri with just one dance and hence, she gave a mind blowing performance on ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ song, ‘Attariya’. Madhuri Dixit-Nene, who was last seen in Gulaab Gang, has denied reports of being part of Ram Madhvani’s next film. Ram Madhvani was to direct the remake of a Danish Television show, Peroza. However, he saw his first choice actress, Kajol, walk out of the film due to remuneration issues. He then, reportedly, approached Madhuri for the film.

But, when we asked Madhuri about being a part of this film at an event today, she said, “What? This is news for me too. No, I am not part of it.”

While Ram Madhvani’s film appears to be off the table, Madhuri Dixit clearly, does not have a film in her kitty for now.

Who wouldn’t want to ‘dance with Madhuri’? We wonder! The Dhak-dhak girl, was spotted in Mumbai, launching a mobile application which will now enable her fans to access the dance app. And it is on their fingers they can pick up dance lessons from Madhuri!

Seen at the launch were ace choreographer and Madhuri’s mentor, Saroj Khan. Also spotted were Jackie Shroff, Subhash Ghai, Terence Lewis, Shriram Nene, Leena Mogre and others.

Looking her diva-self, Madhuri even interacted with her fans. The app is not only about learning to dance, it is also fitness-enabler. There are exercising that will help you stay fit and healthy. The app has an interactive user-interface and is something all should try!

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit has been served a notice by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for endorsing Maggi noodles, an official said on Friday.

The film actress is seen endorsing the two-minute noodle as a healthy food for children in a television commercial.

The FDA in Uttar Pradesh had sought recall of a March 2014 batch Maggi packets after tests revealed dangerous-level of zinc and breach of the allowed limits of monosodium glutamate in it.

The actress has been asked to give in writing her promotion of the brand and its nutrients within a fortnight, failing which a case would be filed against her.

Food Security official Mahimanand Joshi informed that in case the actress failed to furnish the information sought by the department, action would be initiated against her as per law.

A Bihar court on Tuesday directed authorities to file an FIR against officials of Maggi noodles maker Nestle and Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit, brand ambassadors of the food item. Also Preity Zinta, who was too a Brand Ambassador, a few years back.

"The court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramchandra Prasad after hearing the case directed that an FIR to be lodged against the officials of Maggi noodles maker Nestle and Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit in Muzaffarpur's Kazi Mohammadpur police station," said the petitioner, advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.

On Monday, Ojha filed a criminal case in the court of the chief judicial magistrate in Muzaffarpur against officials of Maggi noodles maker Nestle and Amitabh and Madhuri.

In in his complaint, the petitioner said that he purchased Maggi on May 30 and fell ill after eating it.

The popular snack has been hounded by controversy after media reports of the presence of harmful contents surfaced.

Rumor mills are milling! And what has been churned out is that it might so happen that Shahid Kapoor might judge the eighth edition of popular dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

Shahid’s dancing skills are known to all and it is quite exciting news if Shahid makes it to the judging panel. Out of the three judges, rumors were doing rounds that either Madhuri or Karan would be quitting the show. Instead, final news came that Remo D’Souza will be replaced by the makers as he is already judging dance reality show.

So the organizers have approached Sasha. Given his super-busy schedule will he say yes, that is something to be seen! But no one would mind na, if Shahid becomes the third judge. *thinks*

Choreographer-director Remo D’Souza, the man behind Bollywood's dance-based franchise "ABCD", says he is eyeing a full-fledged dance film with actress Madhuri Dixit.

Remo, who has earlier shared a platform with the dancing diva in reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa", told IANS: “I didn’t approach Madhuri for 'ABCD 2', but if I do a film with her, it definitely has to be a Madhuri Dixit film. I don’t want to cast her for a small role."

"I will do a full-fledged dance film with her. There are some ideas in mind right now, but let’s see how it shapes up," he added.

After "ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance", Remo's new directorial is its sequel "ABCD 2". Featuring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, the film is slated for release on June 19.

While he said that he didn't approach Madhuri for this film, he shared that "since last four years I am sitting with her and we chat and talk about it".

"She has said 'Whenever you are ready with it, please let me know',” Remo added.

There were rumors floating in the tinselville that Shahid Kapoor has been approached to judge the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’s eighth season. Also heard was that he might be replacing Remo D’ Souza.

But as it turns out, it is learnt that he has replaced the Dhak-Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit Nene instead. A report published in Times of India confirms the news. And this will be Shahid’s small-screen debut.

Replacing Remo is choreographer Ganesh Hegde and retaining his judge’s chair is Karan Johar. This is the first time that Jhalak will have an all-male judging panel.

Umm! Looks like 2015 is the year of new beginnings for Sasha in more than one field!
